If you are joining the carnival in Aalborg from abroad, and the hotels and hostel are occupied, we learned that the campsites in and around Aalborg offer a great carnival atmosphere: you can join the other carnivalist for breakfast in the common area and get in that special carnival mood from the break of dawn! So there is no excuse for not joining the Aalborg Carnival 2012!

Magic at this years Children's Carnival
Wild tigers, lovely princesses and powerful superheroes and other colorful costumes joined this years Children's Carnival in Aalborg. The mood was high, and the colors were many in the fun and festive parade, that occupied the streets of Aalborg yesterday.
In Kildeparken, Mek Pek and Habbasutterne invited a boy on stage to sing his favorite songs 'Puff, the Magic Dragon', and the children were dancing and singing along when Nicklas, the winner of this years MGP for children performed with his dancers.

The King of Carnival
To the festive rhythms from Poco Loco, Jonas Schmidt aka 'Dolph' was elected King of Carnival 2011. With his satiric touch and his devil-may-care attitude, he has personified the stuffed animal, Dolph, and has made the hippo a beloved character represented in numerous ways in the Carnival. His popularity de him King of Carnival 2011, meaning that he will reign over the imaginative and amazing costumes and creatures participating in the years carnival on May 28th, under the theme "Sexzoological Zoo". Carrus Navalis on March 19th
... and so came Spring! The parade, Carrus Navalis danced its way through the streets of Aalborg, and had the temperature rise a couple of degrees by moving hips and hot rhythms. The streets were filled with spectators enjoying and experiencing the Shadow Dancers (Dunkelfolket), the Bell Men, the Carrus Navalis boat, The Sun Carriage, the plough and the farmer, all all the other symbols represented in the parade, along with Poco Loco and the Aalborg Kanonlaug (canon guild). In short, the parade was welcoming the spring and proclaiming the up-coming Carnival by the rhythms of samba and African drumbeat.

Successful workshops with English carnival artist
In week 41, the organization Carnival in Aalborg held a number of workshops in Northern Jutland with the English carnival artist, Charles Beauchamp.

Visiting the Carnival in Hamburg
In September 2010, 2 buses drove from Aalborg to Hamburg, to experience the new STAMP parade at the Carnival in Hamburg. 95 people from different carnival groups (Alkoholdet, Skipper Clement School, Poco Loco and Vimoroz) and some employees from The organization, Carnival in Aalborg.
