Costume art, theatre de rue, music, dance, costume design and stilt art. Also, the project aims to strengthen both the artistic and organizational collaboration between the participating European cities through exchange of inspiration, ideas and general experience.

Carnival Street Art - global and local melting pot

"Carnival Street Art" is an artistic development project, in which the Carnival in Aalborg works together with other major carnivals in Europe and 10 other well-renowned international carnival artists to inspire young people in Northern Jutland to creative and artistic display at the carnival.

This part of the project focusses on developing the creativity of young people in Northern Jutland through carnival as art. The carnival i Aalborg offers workshops with 10-15 participating teachers from educational institutes in Northern Jutland.

In these workshops, acknowledged carnival artists provide inspiration, tips and tricks to the participants, which they can use in their work with and teaching about carnival in educational institutes throughout Northern Jutland. Hereby young people in production schools, youth clubs etc., receive tools to carry out their creative and artistic ideas, through their teachers and through visits to the Carnival Village.
